DNC04: Edwards on Kerry

Wednesday July 28, 2004
The photogenic -- and Southern -- John Edwards (think Robert Redford in The Candidate) introduced Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry Wednesday with a "populist" appeal that used the Edwards bio as a metaphor for American values and myth. The most often-quoted phrase in newspaper headlines: "Hope is on the way." Speech Text. See Bloomberg; CNN; MSNBC; UK Guardian.
