Georgia Primary Runoff Voting Begins

Monday August 2, 2004
Voters in Georgia began voting Monday for the August 10 primary runoff. Secretary of State Cathy Cox notes that this is the second major statewide election where voters can proceed to the polls well in advance of the election as an alternative to "permanent" absentee (an option not available to Georiga voters). Perhaps other states should follow suit. See Savannah Morning News; Secretary of State statement; Senate race overview
