Judge Roberts: "No Clear Ideological Pattern"

Attorneys at Goldstein & Howe (a DC-based firm) have analyzed the approximately 200 decisions where Judge Roberts has voted. Their verdict: "no clear ideological pattern." They write that "the most prominent feature of the data is how little anyone dissents or writes separately in the D.C. Circuit." Given the relatively infrequent dissents, perhaps analysts should examine the five Roberts separate concurrences and dissents.
