My name is Carlus A.Jackson From Detroit, Michigan. I would like to give my views on “The War in Iraq.” The right questions aren’t being asked surrounding this issue. The war is often compared to if not Proclaimed to Be “The War on Terror.” There is a complete distinction in the Two. The War on Terror was surposed to be against Al-Qaida and any organization of its kind with intensions of harming american people at home or abroad. The War in Iraq was surposed to be for the benifit of the people of Iraq. We are forgetting Iraq is only one of a handful of countries harboring terrorist and supporting them. If we actually beat terror in Iraq doesn’t mean we’ve won The War on Terror. There are terrorist and terrorist camps in some of the surrounding countries that are not supporting The War in Iraq. With the Vast borders of Iraq neighboring, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, and yes even our one of our allies Saudi Arabia. These countries have citizens whom very much dislike U.S.A. and nuture any opportunity they can to lash out at us. Terrorist are being born and raised in these countries and invade the borders of Iraq in a stealth like demeanor. There are VERY many. Too many for us to fight along with the Sunnis and Shiites. Its a battle thats almost impossible to win. If U.S. forces leave Iraq the terrorist would have no more motivation to be there. Then we’ll only be left with the Sunnis and Shiites which we can’t affect one way or the other. I urge citizens and journalist to have discussions about this topic which I haven’t heard thus far. Everyone dances around this important fact. Its important that the American people are enlightened with this information so they can make more fomidable decisions on the actual “War in Iraq.” I appreciate your time and hopefully I can hear a more broad discussion on this matter. Thank You.
