Poll Numbers Plummet
Thursday November 3, 2005
Polls across the board show a drop in approval ratings for both President Bush and Vice President Cheney. From the Polling Report: the lastest Presidential job approval ratings (since 24 October) are 35-41 percent approval and 51-58 percent disapproval (majority disapproval exceeds margin of error in all surveys). The data on Cheney are more ambiguous, with large percentages of those polled opting for no answer. A CNN/USA Today poll suggests almost half of us (45 percent) believe Scooter Libby "did something illegal" and 35 percent, something "unethical." A majority believe Iraq was a mistake.
