Republicans: Katrina Illustrates "Failure"

Monday February 13, 2006
It's rare when the party in power issues criticism -- but that's the case with a 11-member House select committee composed of Republicans charged with investigating government response to Katrina. News media are publishing stories based on preliminary or advance copies of the House report and are also reporting that Chertoff is restructing FEMA. Foreign press are not as kind as US: Katrina probe: chaos from Bush down. See CNN, International Herald Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle (editorial), Times (UK) Online, USA Today
