Troops Think Saddam Was Part of 9-11

Tuesday March 7, 2006
Headlines from a recent Zogby poll focused on the fact that about three-quarters of the troops in Iraq believe we should exit within a year. What most news reports downplayed or ignored is this: "Almost 90% think war is retaliation for Saddam’s role in 9/11, most don’t blame Iraqi public for insurgent attacks."

Most (53%) believe we "should double both the number of troops and bombing missions in order to control the insurgency." However, we continue to draw down troops. (tip)

I dont blame the troops for believing that. The propaganda by the Bush administration fooled congress into voting for this pointless war as well. I guess they have to pump these guys up somehow.
