From Kathy Gill, About.com GuideApril 27, 2006

Follow me on:

The Wall Street Journal reports that three-quarters of Americans "call themselves uneasy about the state of the economy rather than confident." Gas prices have passed Iraq as "the nation's highest-priority issue" as two-thirds of us believe the nation is "off on the wrong track."

Gas prices are putting a strain in middle – class America. If these prices remain the same, the Economy of America will suffer the effects of high inflation and the high gas prices. We need a strict, balanced budget overhaul by cutting inflation, and trying to pay our debt. If we continue, We will see the Economy slowly weakening.
