CBS Newsmen Killed in Iraq

Monday May 29, 2006
US Liberals Guide Deborah White reports that two British CBS newsmen were killed and CBS correspondent Kimberly Dozier was seriously injured "when a roadside bomb blast destroyed a U.S. military Humvee as their convoy passed through Baghdad, just across the river from the Green Zone." CNN reports than an American soldier and an Iraqi contractor were also killed. CBS reports that six others were wounded.

The Times of London calls it "another day of death in Iraq." Two British soliders were killed in a separate attack. Dozier (39) holds dual British/American citizenship and has been reporting in Iraq since 2003. Ned Parker continues:

One does not have to spend too much time in Iraq to know someone, whether American, British, Iraqi or some other nationality, who has died, been kidnapped or seriously wounded. Trouble finds you and sometimes it just hits too close to home.
