The Primary Super Tuesday

Voters in eight states head to the polls Tuesday: Alaska, California, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota. Governorships are at risk in Alaska, California, New Mexico and South Dakota. By far the highest profile primary is California.

All House seats are up for grabs, although there are open seats are in California, Iowa and New Jersey. Senate seats are contested in California [Feinstein-D], Mississippi [Lott-R], Montana [Burns-R], New Jersey [open seat] and New Mexico [Bingaman-D].
