Former Bush Procurement Officer Convicted

A federal jury has found David Safavian guilty in the first trial to come out of the Jack Abramoff inflluence scandal. Dan Froomkin notes that "one of the pieces of evidence introduced against him was actually a note he wrote out on White House stationery." Safavian resigned from his post as chief procurement officer for the White House on the Friday before his arrest on Monday.
