Edwards Declares Candidacy

Wednesday December 27, 2006
Former Senator and Vice Presidential Candidate John Edwards, 53, has officially declared that he is running for President in 2008. The announcement came a day earlier than planned because the campaign web site went live prematurely. Ooops!

His campaign will center on universal health care, global warming, reducing reliance on oil, and strengthening the middle class.
