Finally, Florida

Tuesday January 29, 2008
Tuesday, voters go to the polls in Florida's closed presidential primary. Both parties violated national rules when scheduling the primary. The result: Republicans are vying over only 57 delegates, not 114. Democrats have lost the entire shooting match: 185.

Florida is positioned as make-or-break for Republican Rudy Giuliani, who has finished in the low single digits in prior primaries. It is not expected to be as kind to Sen. John McCain as South Carolina was ... because the independents are not allowed to vote in Florida.

Hang on to your hat, though ... next week is super-mega-Tuesday, where about one-fourth of the delegates will be decided in both parties.
