A Viewer (and Voter) Guide To Tonight's Debate

Tuesday October 7, 2008
Debate TV Ratings
This second debate encounter between presidential candidates Barack Obama (D-IL) and John McCain (R-AZ) is a less formal, town hall format. The questions originate with voters, but the selection of questions to ask is determined by moderator Tom Brokaw.

We can be sure that the debate will be watched by millions, either on one of network/cable television or on computers. We can also be pretty sure that the audience will not surpass last week's vice presidential debate, which had 35% more viewers than the first presidential debate.

Whether or not you've decided to watch the debate, check out this Viewer's Guide to the Second Presidential Debate. (Maybe it will convince you if you haven't quite made up your mind.)

Remember: the debate is from 9.00 - 10.30 pm Eastern. I'll be teaching tonight, so I'll be late to the post-debate analytical party!
