Did Palin Just Say She Would Run For The Senate?

Thursday November 13, 2008
In an interview on Larry King Live Wednesday night, the talk show host asked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin "if she intends to finish out her term.”
I will do what the people of Alaska want me to do. If they call an audible on me, and if they say they want me in another position, I’m going to do it.

Should Sen. Ted Stevens be re-elected (right now his Democratic opponent has a slight lead in the initial ballot count), the Senate is almost certain to move to expel him if he doesn't resign first. Whether there is an interim Governor appointee or a vacant Senate office until the special election is a matter of some dispute, although a citizen initiative calls for the vacancy route.

More on the tally in Alaksa from the Anchorage Daily News.

I hope Mayor Begich wins, because the state deserves better than Stevens, and so Sarah will have opportunity to do her elected job. Over the next two years, she can help make a real budget and maybe learn to construct a proper English sentence.

Hi, Chris - among a lot of voters in the lower 48 … it’s hard to comprehend how voters could support someone who has just been convicted of a felony that looks like a bribe. :-/
