Like all the Guides at About.com, I'm a real person. I do my best to read all my email and I enjoy hearing from visitors to my site, but I can't always answer every message due to the sheer volume.

I welcome your comments and questions about U.S. Politics and I appreciate your understanding that I can't always respond to your email. Contact me at uspolitics.guide@about.com.

Questions and Answers About the U.S. Politics Site

Is this a partisan site? No. The U.S. Politics site is designed to be a rich source of nonpartisan information about key political leaders, high-profile campaigns, important policy issues and electoral history. You can find a liberal take at Deborah White's U.S. Liberal Politics page, and a conservative view at About.com's U.S. Conservative Politics page.

What is the U.S. Politics guide's political affiliation? The guide is an independent, meaning he is registered to vote but not with either of the two major parties or any of the third parties. The decision to be independent was not made to avoid the appearance of having a conflict of interest. The guide merely feels his view are not adequately represented by any one political party.

Does the U.S. Politics site endorse candidates? No. This site does not endorse candidates. The intention is not to sway public opinion on our election officials and candidates. The goal is to provide readers with plenty of information about important issues, and where our leaders stand on them, so that they can make up their own minds.
