Election Calendar
Primaries kick off in January 2008 in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada; on 5 February we'll have a quasi-national primary. At the end of the summer, parties hold their national party conventions: Democrats in Denver, CO, 25-28 August and Republicans in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN, 1-4 September. Election Day is 4 November and the Electoral College convenes in December.
