Brief Bio:

Bill Richardson is the governor of New Mexico (2002-present) and one of the few candidates in either party with executive branch experience. He was born in California in 1947. He graduated from Tufts University with a master's from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He represented New Mexico in the US House of Representatives from 1980-1994; served as UN Ambassador in 1997; and was Secretary of Energy in 1998.
