    13. Tropical Depression #13 - formed 28 August

    14. Lee - Tropical Storm - formed 28 August

    15. Hurrican Maria - Formed 1 September

    16. Hurrican Nate - Formed 5 September

    17. Hurricane Ophelia - Formed 6 September. Threatened Carolinas and eastern seaboard but skirted the coastline.

    18. Philippe - Formed 17 September. Became a named Tropical Storm at 11 pm.

    19. Hurricane Rita - Formed 17 September. Became a named Tropical Storm at 5 pm Sunday 18 September. Brushed the Florida Keys. Became a Cat5 hurricane before hitting the northeast Texas Gulf Coast as a Cat3 hurricane on Saturday 24 September.

    20. Hurricane Stan - Formed Saturday 1 October. Made landfall 4 October near Veracruz as a Cat1 hurricane. Responsible for floods and landslides that killed more than 1,000 people in Guatemala and El Salvador.

    21. Tropical Storm Tammy - Formed Wednesday 5 October. Weakened to tropical depression on Thursday.

    22. Hurricane Vince - Formed Sunday 9 October in an "unusual location" - upgraded to hurricane the same day. Made landfall in Spain on Tuesday, as a tropical storm.

    23. Tropical Storm Wilma - Formed Saturday 15 October; became a tropical storm Monday morning. Forecast to hit US Gulf Coast.
