One of his predictions for upcoming Presidential elections: the winner will be "non political" ... that is, political speak and barriers between candidate and voter are a thing of the past, due in no small part to the rise of social software and citizen journalists.
On the topic of issue framing, Edwards contends that "language" does not control the presidential election - people watch these two candidates. "Is that a guy I want to be my president? Do I believe that they have character, integrity, ability to lead?" Language, he says, is important in positioning national issues like partial birth abortion, network neutrality -- but how the voter feels about the candidate is the most important aspect of presidential choice.
