US Senators Up For Re-Election

20 February 2007

On 17 February 2007, the US Senate voted on a motion to end debate on a resolution opposing troop build-up in Iraq. The vote was 56-34, but 60 votes were needed to end debate and vote on the resolution.

This table shows how each Senator voted who is up for re-election in 2008. Senators who voted contrary to their party's position are highlighted. Other Republicans voting to end debate: Olympia Snowe (ME) and Arlen Specter (PA). All Democrats voted to end debate except for Johnson (SD) who remains hospitalized.

Bennett (R-UT), Bond (R-MO), Cochran (R-MS), Corker (R-TN), Ensign (R-NV), Hatch (R-UT), Johnson (D-SD), Kyl (R-AZ), McCain (R-AZ), Murkowski (R-AK).
