BellSouth Says: Not Us!

BellSouth has denied media reports that it provided the National Security Agency (NSA) with customer phone records. BellSouth is alone among those firms fingered on Thursday by USA Today in issuing a denial. Verizon and AT&T have refused to confirm or deny.
USA Today says it contacted BellSouth five weeks ago about the story and also described it in detail the night before it ran. BellSouth did not challenge the story last week and has not asked USA Today for a retraction or correction.
